When you book a Guaranteed Cabin, you’re reserving a cabin category (such as Interior, Oceanview, or Balcony), and the cruise line assigns the exact cabin number and deck based on availability. This assignment can happen at any time to check‑in, including shortly before sailing or at the pier.
How Guaranteed Cabins Work
A Guaranteed Cabin means you’ve secured a cabin within the category you selected, but not a specific cabin number at the time of booking.
- Your cabin number and deck assignment are provided when you check in for your cruise
- You will never receive a cabin lower than the category you booked
- If your booked category is no longer available, you will receive a complimentary upgrade to a higher category
This works similarly to hotels—where you choose a room type and receive your room number at check‑in.
When You Arrive at the Terminal
Once you arrive at the cruise passenger terminal:
- Baggage porters will have access to the passenger manifest and your assigned stateroom number
- They will help tag your luggage and ensure it is delivered directly to your cabin later
