If your cruise is cancelled by the cruise line, you are usually offered a full refund or an alternative option such as a future cruise credit or rebooking. Your iCruise Travel Consultants will help guide you through your available options.
If the Cruise Line Cancels Your Cruise
Cruise lines may cancel sailing due to unforeseen circumstances such as operational changes, safety concerns, weather, or ship availability. While cancellations are uncommon, they do happen from time to time.
If your cruise is cancelled by the cruise line, they will typically offer one or more of the following options:
- A full refund of the cruise fare paid
- A future cruise credit to use toward another sailing
- The option to rebook on an alternate sailing, subject to availability
The exact options depend on the cruise line’s policy and the reason for the cancellation.
What About Flights, Hotels, and Other Expenses?
Refunds or compensation for additional expenses such as flights, hotels, or transfers are governed by the cruise line’s terms and any Travel Insurance you may have purchased. Some costs may not be automatically reimbursed by the cruise line.
Travel Insurance may help cover certain non‑refundable expenses, depending on your policy.
